Stop CDC Attacks on Gun Ownership
Unless you and I speak out now, health bureaucrats in Washington will continue to fund research that will be used to advocate against your Second Amendment rights.
For years, anti-gunners in Congress have been spending millions of tax dollars to have the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to produce biased, anti-gun studies to promote and advocate for gun control.
These calls for gun control include gun confiscation laws, mandatory waiting periods, and even new gun controls like a “firearm retirement” age for when you get too old to own guns.
I need you to please go here right now to tell your Congressman and Senators to support H. Amdt. 790, the Mary Miller Meeks Amendment to H.R. 4894, in any final CDC and NIH funding bill.
Her amendment blocks the CDC from spending money to help advance gun control research, stating that “None of the funds made available by this Act may be used by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to conduct or support any firearm injury and mortality prevention research.”
But that won’t happen unless you speak out now.
You may remember they already tried this in the 1990s. Under Bill Clinton, the CDC produced a “study” claiming guns were a public health emergency and recommending, as a health measure, a national gun registry.
“We need to revolutionize the way we look at guns, like what we did with cigarettes ... It used to be that smoking was a glamour symbol—cool, sexy, macho. Now it is dirty, deadly—and banned,” a CDC official said at the time, citing how they used the same scheme to go after tobacco companies.
Well, now they’re back. And after they pulled off the national COVID lockdowns and restrictions, they’re stronger.
After COVID we’ve already seen anti-gunners in states like New Mexico issue sweeping gun bans after issuing declaring guns a public health emergency.
And you can bet anti-gun nut Joe Biden, who already delivered one insane speech declaring conservatives a national security threat, can’t wait to declare gun owners like YOU a “health threat” that must be cured.
Time is running out. Congress will vote on this any day now.
Please go here right now to tell your Congressman and Senators to support H. Amdt. 790, the Mary Miller Meeks Amendment to H.R. 4894, in any final CDC and NIH funding bill.
