2024 Scholarship Opportunity

Because Ft. Fetterman Sportsman’s Association members believe in supporting our youth, we are sponsoring an essay contest for Converse County high school seniors again this year. Two $500 college scholarships, to any institution of higher learning, will be awarded.

Essays may be submitted in Microsoft Word or Pdf format by email to (ffsa-board@outlook.com) or hard copy via postal mail to: FFSA, P.O. Box 843, Douglas, Wyoming 82633. All essays must arrive by the April 1, 2024, deadline to be considered.

Scholarship Application

Criteria
Students will write their essays on the following question:
“How Did the Events of April 19, 1775, in American History Affect the Future of American Colonists, Your Future, and the Future of All U.S. Citizens?”

The content must be grammatically correct and must be in the writer’s own words and style (no plagiarizing and no AI used to write the essay). The length of the essay should be a minimum of 500 words. Proper references must be cited for the student’s researched sources.

Essays submitted will be judged and winners selected by the Scholarship Committee. Judges will select the two best essays from Converse County applicants attending their final year in public high school, private school, or home school. Scholarship Awards will be presented at the April 15, 2024, meeting.
