Mission Statement:
To promote environmental stewardship, community growth, and youth development through outdoor recreation and education.
The Outdoor Enthusiasts of Converse County is comprised of a diverse group of individuals, with various interests. Members engage in trail running, mountain biking, hunting, kayaking, fishing, camping. Pretty much any kind of outdoor recreation. We currently maintain the archery range, south of Bartling Park in Douglas. Members of the group also spend a lot of time maintaining and building trails at Duncan Ranch, south of Glenrock. The trails are for biking, hiking, running, and horseback riding. Our current project is to have a mountain bike skills park built in Douglas. It will be a family friendly environment, with features that have various levels of difficulty.
Activities and meeting notices are posted on Facebook--Outdoor Enthusiasts of Converse County
